BIRMINGHAM, AL (November 28, 2022) – Cherokee County, South Carolina has selected Retail Strategies, the leading national community development firm, to develop and execute a retail recruitment plan on behalf of the County.
“Retail Strategies will partner with county leadership to help them understand their untapped retail potential and redevelopment opportunities,” said Lacey Bacchus, business developer for Retail Strategies. “We are thrilled to partner with Cherokee County and recruit retail for multiple focus areas including the City of Gaffney, the Town of Blacksburg, and areas along the Interstate 85 exits.”

Retail Strategies will provide Cherokee County with a partnership-based retail recruitment plan through in-depth market analysis, consumer analysis and proactive retail and broker outreach.
Matt Jaeger and Cole Clark will support the Cherokee County team by performing a boots-on-the-ground market tour to identify real estate for retail development. The next step is to create a retail recruitment plan and begin proactive outreach to specific retail real estate professionals, including property owners, brokers, retailers, and developers to bring desired businesses and development to Cherokee County.
