Beasley was named a Top 40 for her role into building Retail Strategies into an industry leader.
She’s continued to build the national profile of the firm, while further establishing herself as an expert in the evolving retail landscape.
Beasley has cemented herself as a go-to source in the commercial real estate world, developing a niche working with municipalities on their retail development strategies. Beasley managed a team that grew from working with 35 clients in four states to becoming a major national player in its industry in just six years.
What was the most pivotal moment in your life? What happened and what direction did you take?
In 2009 I developed a new line of business at The Shopping Center Group consulting municipalities on retail real estate. Joining Retail Strategies in 2013 under the leadership of Robert Jolly and Mead Silsbee was the most pivotal moment of my career.
What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career?
The past two years I have been invited to speak on best practices for public-private partnerships at the largest retail commercial real estate conference in the world, ICSC RECON.
Have you had a strong mentor in your life? What did you learn from him/her?
Bill Vaughn became my mentor in 2005 and continues to be today. He has taught me to value my self-worth, set ambitious goals and not to share the labor pains, just show the baby!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Advice from Robert Jolly “do what you say you’re going to do.” This has become a core value of our company and although I don’t have a perfect record, it certainly remains a goal of mine to live up to this standard.
