“We are excited to begin our partnership with Retail Strategies,” said Shawnna Silvius, Executive Director of Montgomery County Development Corporation. “Retail Strategies will be a key asset in the expansion and development of Montgomery County. We are thankful for the added resources, knowledge and expertise that their team will be able to bring to Red Oak and our county. This partnership will allow for combined efforts in growing our retail recruitment and real estate development.”
“Retail Strategies is happy to be adding Montgomery County, Iowa to our team,” said Matthew Tate, director of business development for Retail Strategies. “Over the past couple of years, unhealthy retailers have closed in the market leaving big retail spaces either vacant or filled by non-retail users, opening up opportunity in the market for some great backfill potential. We are excited to be locking arms with the city and putting together a retail recruitment strategy to help get Red Oak and the greater Montgomery County on the radar of retailers that are still expanding even during the pandemic.”
Through the new partnership, Retail Strategies will perform a real estate market analysis of the businesses located in Montgomery County and identify areas of opportunity with expanding businesses. The Retail Strategies team will work hand in hand with city leaders to help them understand their market and highlight opportunities for infill. Additionally, the team at Retail Strategies will proactively reach out to potential businesses, property owners, brokers, and developers on behalf of Red Oak, Villisca, Stanton and the county.
