Study will help market Abbeville
ABBEVILLE, SC – A marketing study completed for the City of Abbeville laid the groundwork for the city to promote itself and potentially attract new businesses using the data.
City Manager Blake Stone gave members of Abbeville City Council an overview of the study conducted through Retail Strategies during Tuesday’s regular meeting.
Highlights from the study include a demographic breakdown, daytime population study, GAP analysis (income that leaves the area to a 10-mile radius) and potential focus categories for the future, he said.
“That laid some nice groundwork for us,” Stone said. “There are some chain businesses in our area that might want to expand into our area and since the economy has improved, it gives us the potential to approach these people because some of them will say if you don’t have a marketing study, we can’t talk to you.”
We are thrilled to work with Abbeville, South Carolina on identifying market gaps and potential retailers that would be well placed in the community. Our courses provided not only the tools to attract retailers, but the network, support and strategies to increase your retail odds.
