February 2017 ~ Scott VonCannon, Portfolio Director, accepts role as Private Chair ICSC P3 Retail Private Chair for Alabama/Mississippi.
Retail Strategies is proud to announce Scott VonCannon’s acceptance to the role of P3 Private Chair for Alabama/Mississippi during the 2017-2018 term. The role is part of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) community development program P3 Retail (Public Private Partnership).
VonCannon has been an ICSC member for three and a half years, during which time he has worked extensively as a retail advocate. The new role validates his reputation as an industry leader and proponent of retail as a means for community growth. When asked for a response to his nomination VonCannon responded:
“I am very honored and humbled by the nomination and look forward to using my experience and knowledge to further the organization.”
P3 Retail was established in 1997 enhance understanding of the “positive economic effect the shopping center industry has on communities and to provide a forum to initiate dialogue and develop better working relationships between developers, retailers, brokers, lenders, and local government officials.”
His responsibilities will begin in May of 2017 after VonCannon attends the Volunteer Leadership Summit in Chicago later this March.
Retail Strategies has been an active member in ICSC lobbying for retail in Washington DC as well as participating with the promotion of P3 Retail awareness.
