VP of Development
Joe joined Retail Strategies in 2014 with a background in real estate. He began his career in real estate in 2007 when he was still a student at the University of Alabama. He started in property management and then went into sales in 2009 when he got his real estate license. He specializes in retail recruitment and focuses on the identification of companies to fill the product and service gaps within each city’s trade area.
Joe has made great relationships in the Southeast and Midwest with tenant rep brokers, retailers, and developers and is trusted by all of the professionals in this business. He has worked with over 65 cities all throughout the country and has successfully recruited many retailers to his clients markets. A few notable retailers that have opened new stores his client cities include Aldi, TJ Maxx, Hibbetts, Dunham’s Sports, Applebee’s, Dollar Tree, Potbelly, Factory Connection, AT&T, Piggly Wiggly, Shoe Carnival, Petco, Pet Supermarket, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, Badcock Furniture, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Planet Fitness, Tractor Supply Shrimp Basket, and many more. He is currently working on earning his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and has successfully completed CI 101 and CI 102.
Prior to joining Retail Strategies, Joe graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a concentration in real estate. He was born and raised in Columbia, SC and in his spare time Joe enjoys going to the lake, playing golf, and making it back to Tuscaloosa to watch Alabama football.
