Lacey Bacchus works as a senior business developer for Retail Strategies guiding municipal leaders in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and North Carolina on their retail recruitment and community development initiatives.
Lacey brings 20 years of marketing, business development, and client management experience helping businesses and non-profit organizations achieve their growth, engagement, and brand awareness goals.
She received her MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her undergraduate degree in business marketing from Jacksonville State University. Additionally, Lacey is a graduate of Leadership UAB, Leadership Shelby County, and the City of Birmingham Academy of Civic Engagement. Lacey serves on the Board of Directors for Birmingham CREW – the industry’s premier business organization dedicated to supporting the achievements of women in commercial real estate. She is a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA), the South Carolina Economic Developers Association (SCEDA), North Carolina Economic Developers Association (NCEDA), and the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) and has an Alabama real estate license.
Active in the community, she volunteers with Better Basics, is co-founder of the Best Friends of Shelby Humane, serves as a humane policy volunteer with The Humane Society of the United States and is a Junior Patron at the Birmingham Museum of Art and the Alys Stephens Center.
Lacey enjoys exploring Birmingham by running the streets and trails, attending concerts, hiking, and traveling.
