"New Stores to change 'face' of North Jackson St." The Tullahoma News, by Kelly Lapczynski :: Posted on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 3:11 pm [link]
The Tullahoma Planning Commission Monday night approved a site plan for an 18,142-square-foot ALDI discount grocery store to be located adjacent to Electronic Express on two acres at the intersection of North Jackson Street and Hoover Lane. According to ALDI Mt. Juliet Division Vice President Troy Marshall, the store is scheduled to open in the second half of 2016.
“We’re excited to share the ALDI difference with 45 million customers each month by the end of 2018 and are looking forwarding to joining the Tullahoma community,” said ALDI Mt. Juliet Division Vice President Troy Marshall
Though the grocery store remains unnamed in public documents, its size rivals the 48,780-square-foot Kroger grocery store that anchors the Forrest Gallery Shopping Center.
“Announcements like this will continue to strengthen Tullahoma’s position as a regional retail destination. These new businesses will employ over 100 individuals and generate sales taxes that will help fund community projects and education initiatives,” Mayor Lane Curlee said, adding that he looks forward to “many more exciting announcements” from retail investors.
